What Do Physical 100: Mexico Contestants Wear? Dark Sleeveless Tops, Grip Gloves and a Stone Arena

Quick answer — Netflix hasn't released an episode of Physical 100: Mexico yet, so all anyone has seen of the kit is the promotional material. That shows dark sleeveless tops, grey shorts worn over black compression shorts, and pale grip gloves on contestants carrying a log through a carved-stone set. No kit sponsor has been announced. Episodes are due from Wednesday, Sept. 16, and Netflix normally releases at 3 a.m. ET, though it hasn't posted an hour for this title.
What does the trailer show the contestants wearing?
We went through two official images, the thumbnail of the trailer Netflix Latinoamérica posted on YouTube and the key art on Netflix's Mexican title page. Both are marketing, and a production can shoot promos in different clothes from the episodes. Here is what's visible and how sure we are.
| What you see | Where | How sure we are |
|---|---|---|
| Dark sleeveless tops on men and women alike | Trailer thumbnail and key art | Seen directly |
| Grey shorts, with black compression shorts showing underneath on at least one contestant | Trailer thumbnail | Seen directly |
| Pale grip gloves on the hands holding a log | Trailer thumbnail | Seen directly |
| A dark glove on a hand climbing a thick rope | Key art | Seen directly |
| A shirtless masked luchador at the center of the key art | Key art | Seen directly. That's a wrestler's persona, not arena kit |
| A contestant number on the clothing | Not visible in either image | Unknown until Wednesday |
| A named brand or kit partner | Nowhere | Not announced |
Small logos appear on one pair of shorts and on some shoes in the thumbnail. A logo in a promo shot doesn't mean a deal, and no brand or Netflix has announced one, so we aren't naming it.
How is that different from the Italian edition?
Italy put its 100 in light-colored tees with a number printed high on the shoulder, and the Korean original is also known for its plain issued tops. Mexico's promo shows dark, sleeveless tops. If that holds in the episodes, it changes two things you'll notice on screen. Sweat patches are harder to see on black, and bare shoulders mean nothing for an opponent to grab in a duel.
The set is different too. Netflix describes an arena styled on pre-Hispanic Mexico, and the trailer image shows carved stone walls and a sand-colored floor. Loose sand gets into shoes and socks, so expect closed trainers rather than anything minimal.

Who is competing, and what do they usually train in?
Netflix and the Mexican press have named a long list of the 100. The mix explains why a single plain kit makes sense: these people normally dress in completely different ways.
| Contestant | Background | Usual training gear |
|---|---|---|
| Místico, Atlantis Jr., Soberano Jr. | Lucha libre | Mask, trunks or tights, boots |
| Carlos Salcido | Former Mexico national-team defender | Football kit, shin guards |
| Alexa Moreno | Olympic gymnast | Leotard, grips |
| Miguel de Lara | Olympic swimmer | Racing suit |
| Juan Francisco “Gallo” Estrada | Professional boxer | Wraps, gloves, boxing shoes |
| Vanessa Huppenkothen | Sports broadcaster and triathlete | Tri suit |
The cast also includes Hyrox and CrossFit athletes, strongmen, MMA fighters, firefighters and soldiers. Endemol Shine Boomdog produced it, the audio is Spanish, and Netflix rates it TV-MA.

What does the dark arena top cost at three price levels?
We priced a black sleeveless training top on each brand's own site on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026, at about 11:45 p.m. ET, along with which sizes were in stock at that time.
| Tier | Top | Price | In stock | Honest take |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Budget | Bubblelime Racerback Yoga Tank Top, Buttery Soft, Tight Fit, Black | $15.98 | XS–L (XL sold out) | Close, contouring fit with a hip-length hem, so it stays put when you're pulling or planking. No built-in bra, and a soft yoga knit rather than mesh. |
| Mid | Outdoor Voices ThinkFast Mesh Cropped Muscle Tank, Black | $48.00 | XXS–M and XXXL | The most breathable of the three, built for heat. The cropped cut rides up on a log carry, and L–XXL were gone. |
| Premium | Girlfriend Collective Dylan Tank Bra, Black | $68.00 | XS–L and 5XL | A tank and sports bra in one, with a high neckline. It gives an opponent the least fabric to grab of the three. |
None of these is what the contestants wear. They're the closest things you can buy in the same shape. For the bottom half, the same logic from the competition-show training kit applies: a short over compression, nothing that swings.
Do you need grip gloves if you train this way?
Only for the work the promo shows, like rough wood, rope and heavy carries. Gloves spare your skin on a log, but they cost you feel on a barbell, and chalk does that job better in a gym. If you're doing a Hyrox-style circuit with a sled rope or farmer's carries, a thin glove is worth it. For pull-ups and ordinary lifting, go without.
Tops need the same choice. A fitted tank is better when someone may grab you, a loose one when you're working alone in heat. The Italy breakdown has that comparison session by session.
When can you watch Physical 100: Mexico?
Episodes start Wednesday, Sept. 16. Netflix's Mexican title page says new episodes are available that day and carries a “new episode Wednesday” tag, which points to a weekly schedule. Netflix hasn't published the episode count. Most Netflix titles go live at 12 a.m. Pacific, 3 a.m. Eastern, and the Italian edition did. The Italian edition's batch calendar is on our sister site's Physical 100: Italy release schedule.
If you're working out how we identify clothes without guessing labels, the method is in how to find workout clothes you see on TV. Survivor's version of this problem, with issued kit getting soaked in salt water, is in what Survivor contestants wear. Everything else is under Fitness Shows and what this site covers.
